The first tasks of the Silent Movie brief. Initially we had to select two words from the randomiser which would form the basis of this project. My words were 'Collide' and 'Float'. Our first task was to generate some lists of related words, meanings/interpretations and situations, which are show below:
We also had to compile a list of twenty potential typefaces for each word, in three sizes; shown below:
I began by doing a few sketches of various letters in an attempt to convey the meaning of the word it came from. To convey the meaning of a word through one letter was actually a lot harder than first expected.
