After spending a while messing around on photoshop (I've never really taken the time out to get to grips with it...so today has been the day...) I came up with this which I feel is perhaps getting more towards the kind of thing that would suit the label...as in the original logo is very much the focal point...although it would still be nice to incorporate the one I was messing about with before...
and in the words of Eddie 'I think you've gone a bit far with the whole texture thing' and I suppose he's right, I'm quite liking this layout though. Might be nice for a CD cover. For a mixtape or something...it may just be a little much for the vinyl cover.
