I thought I'd give the whole mathematical approach a go, and did a rough sketch of how it might look, shown below:
I quite like the idea of it so I vectored it up this morning, I mean it lacks the whole fat/thin thing I was hoping to go for, but I'm quite enjoying how it has turned out. I can try the whole fat/thin thing in a bit. The letters are pretty legible and mostly stick the the Golden ratio grid I made, though in some situations I deliberately just to optimise the look of the letters.
I will show it around to get some feedback.
